Transport by car/taxi and bus takes about 2 hours. From Bangkok to Rayong : Bus leaves from Ekkamai bus station and Mo Chit bus station. Service from 04:00 until 22:00, every 40 minutes and takes about 3 hours.
How to Get to Koh Samet . You can easily make your own way to the island by taking a public bus, minibus, or private taxi southeast from Bangkok to the Nuan Thip Pier in Ban Phe, just outside of Rayong. The drive takes between 3 – 4 hours, depending on how stupendous Bangkok’s traffic is on that particular day.
